The Kansas City Chiefs officially placed WR Kenny Cook on injured reserve Friday after he cleared waivers.
Chiefs HC Andy Reid told reporters that Cook suffered a torn quad and underwent surgery on Thursday to repair the issues, so this doesn’t come as a big surprise.
Cook, 24, wound up signing on with the Chiefs as an undrafted free agent out of Gardner-Webb back in May of last year. He was waived at the start of the season and later signed to their practice squad.

It’s a slow time for us Chiefs fans so I’m going to talk about the man Chiefs fans either love or love to hate. The 900 pound gorilla in the room….Andy Reid.

Lets be honest…like all humans, he has his faults. Sometimes his clock management leaves me SMFH and wondering WTH were you thinking Andy? And then there are those 1 yard passes on 3rd and long….WTF OVER!
