Yeah, I saw him and Shania Twain back in the early 90’s. They were doing a tour together as new artists recently signed to Mercury Records. One of the stops on that tour was a night club in Kansas City in the Wesport area…”Guitars and Cadillacs”. Since he was a fairly new artist at the time, his name wasn’t as big as it is today, neither was Shania’s.
Anyway, I Googled him, cause I remembered hearing something once upon about him making the Cowboy’s roster prior to following his music dreams. What I found was that those rumors were untrue, and began as a result of his being a Cowboys fan, and he did play football, in high school as a defensive end, is also a big OU fan…and had an interest in being a Cowboy, but didn’t make the team when he tried out.
