I don’t think Ben’s starting job is in jeopardy. I think it’s more insurance in case he gets suspended. I think they are looking to trade him, but that is yet to be seen.

I doubt Big Ben leaves. Think of it this way.. Who would you rather have starting for the Steelers? Charlie Batch, Dennis Dixon, or Byron Leftwich? I think it’s hands down that Leftwich is the best choice there.
He played very well at Oregon and if memory serves me right he was in Heisman talk while he was there. But one game that he played in last season is hardly enough to tell if he can completely handle the team. If they decide to start Dennis Dixon it might be a good thing if they do in fact trade Ben though I don’t see it happening. Byron Leftwich I believe is just added insurance. Leftwich was once a Steeler and is familiar with the system and played well in it.
