New to the Reservation

Hello all! This is my first post on your forum. My allegiance lies to the 49ers first and foremost, but KC is right behind. I’ve rooted for Kansas City in every game for the past 15 years unless San Fran was on the opposing sideline. I became a Chiefs fan in the early 90’s when Derrick Thomas was manning OLB and absolutely murdering opposing QBs, not to mention my pee-wee football team was the Chiefs. So while I am a 49ers fan first, the Chiefs are just as important in the NFL landscape to me. Im also an Alabama fan, thats why I followed DT so closely.

But in recent years (2-3), I have really gotten into KC football. I never miss a week. Im an SEC fan, so I LOVE the KC roster. Alabama in particular, I was ecstatic that Pioli went after Javier Arenas. KC got a true shutdown corner, a great tackler and special teams player. Not to mention the SEC players like Eric Berry, Dexter McCluster, Glenn Dorsey, etc…Im also a huge Jamaal Charles fan. Ive been screaming about this kid for years, I am glad people finally see how great he is.

And it doesnt hurt that I grew up in and live in the same town Thomas Jones was born and grew up. We went to the same high school (albeit at different times), but my mom is a friend of his mother, and when my mother and grandmother saw Thomas in a local mall a few years back, he made it a point to speak to both of them and remembered them. My mom and grandmother both worked in the school system and TJ had not forgotten them after all these years.
