Man I don’t think that a win over the Donkeys has ever felt so flat. I hate the Donkeys with a passion so it’s always nice to get the W but tomorrow we probably find out if the season is over or not. We can only hope that Mahomes will be back shortly.

The Defense. That was a good game from them. They played with a fire and a purpose that I have not seen from them all year. Or hell all of last year. Part of it was Denver being bad yes. But the other part is I think they got a little tired of all the talk. Now we have to see how the respond to this game. Do they go back to being flat and a pushover or do they build on it. Time will tell but for now I say good game guys Keep working at it.

I Hope this can put a bit of a pause at some of the fire Spags talk I have been seeing. The guy hasn’t even had one full year after taking over a horrible defense. It takes a bit of time. He deserves at least a season to see if things are getting better.

It’s hard to talk about the offense in a game like this. Losing a starting QB hurts even more with the limited time to get ready for the game. But they did at least move the ball some. And Moore and Hill at least hooked up for a nice Td pass. But the season rest on if Mahomes can return. If not then we really don’t have much of a shot at going far. The Chiefs as of now seem to be thinking he will be able to return. But I think he’s at least going to miss this next game and that’s going to make it hard to win.

Assuming Mahomes does make it back the one thing is I think this rules out us getting the 1 seed again. We are simply going to have to win at least one playoff game on the road.

It’s always nice to beat Denver it’s been quite a while since we haven’t but tomorrow is going to be the most important day of the season so far. The season rest on when Mahomes can be back. If he can be back. Time to hope for the best.

First off, hat’s off to the defense for coming up with a great game. They started off slow on the first series but after that put the clamps on Denver. We need to see that kind of effort from here on out.

It sucks that we lost Mahomes the way that we did, but we did that one to ourselves. Running a QB sneak with your ankle injured MVP QB? While our RB’s twiddled their thumbs on the sideline? Really? God only knows what kind of media blowhorns are going to run this one into the ground. Remember Peyton Manning’s last year, where they’d broadcast CGI renderings of Peyton’s leg muscles while the game played in the background? While I hope Mahomes gets healthy ASAP, at least LET him get healthy. IMO this might be the wakeup call this team needs to light or keep lit the fire under it’s arse.

If this team rallies, picks itself up and somehow manages to keep winning under Moore, imagine what it’ll be like when Mahomes comes back. Hope Mahomes gets well but also understand that we’re in the middle of a season, and we’re still 5-2. Moore looked very shaky the first couple of series but began to settle down, and that’s when the pass to Hill really jolted the Broncos D.

This is the 8th straight time that I have tuned completely out of The Chiefs-Donkeys contest, and waited until the game was over to find out what happened & the Chiefs have all EIGHT times.

Think maybe that I’m doing the right thing?? 😆

NO. You staying away is why the Broncos got 6 points.

This is what a surgeon on twitter said about Mahomes injury.

If fracture/soft tissue damage can be avoided then he should be able to return in 3 to 6 weeks.

          If

If Fractures/soft tissue damages can be avoided he can be back to play in 3 to 6 weeks.

If he requires surgery to stabilize his season would be over.

Okay, but at least the Chiefs got 30. I see the Donks got their 6 in the 1st QTR, and then got flat out smothered the rest of the game while the Chiefs ran off 30.

Crossing fingers that #15 can come back, but PLEASE let him get 100% first. Whatever happens, the Chiefs still have a chance at a winning season. We’ll have to wait and see. And before I forget……………….

HA! HA! Turd Elway and the Donkeys LOST !!!

Seen 2 others that both said different from eachother and yours. All say if surgery is required then season is done but they vary on the games miss if not. One guy said it depends on the swelling and stiffness. If they can keep swelling down and stiffness out and find a right brace that perfectly fits him then he can play as soon as those 3 things are good. That theory he could play next week if
            1. swelling stays down
            2. Stiffness out
            3. Find the right brace to hold knee cap in place. In the video Dr somereason sounded skeptical if they could. Didnt say that but the way he said it sounded like braces are not easy to match everyone. But being a million dollar league il sure they can have one made perfectlyto fit him. You would think.

Also I believe they all agree he will need surgery to permanently fix it after season. Legimants that attach to knee cap holding it in place will need to be fixed. That’s what the MRI will show tomorrow is how much damage is to that regiment. Could be just stretched or partial or fully torn. The chiefs optimism makes me think it’s not fully. The sign he was able to walk off the field makes me think there is still some legiment holding it in place or else you would think it would have moved out of place when he was walking.

Brd, if you DVR’d the game, check out the part where the Broncos got cute and went for a two point conversion after a penalty, and failed.

I noticed that somebody on the Game Day thread said “game changer” after that failed 2-point try. Apparently it was, as the Donks just flat out got smothered from that point on (one of the best Defensive efforts we’ve seen in quite some time).

I noticed that they had the rookie Nick Allegretti starting at LG last night. I’m betting that Allegretti is there to stay the rest of the season & Wylie doesn’t get his job back. Allegretti was said to be showing some nasty, and if the Chiefs can get Fisher back healthy to line up next to him, the O-Line should be better.

I stand corrected, it was #74 Martinas Rankin playing LG (guy that they obtained from Houston).

Donks are finding out what the Ravens discovered last season — Flacco is DONE!!
