07/04/2010 at 12:47 am #936717That is an awesome video and song KC-Vet! Thanks for sharing.
Kid Rock has one called “Warrior”. He wrote the lyrics, he & my friend Kenny Olson wrote the music. Kid donated his time and money to make this video representing the National Guard, as well as his Nascar buddy Dale Earnhardt Jr. did the same. Both are major supporters of our Military and USO.

So don’t tell me who’s wrong and right when liberty starts slipping away.
And if you ain’t gonna fight get out of the way, cause freedom ain’t so free when you breathe red, white and blue.I’m giving all of myself how ’bout you? And they call me warrior! They call me loyalty! And they call me ready to provide relief and help. I’m Wherever you need me to be. I’m an American warrior… Oh I’m an American warrior…Citizen Soldier. Ahhhhh Yeahhhhh!
Citizen Soldier I’ll never leave another behind. I will never accept defeat I’m a Soldier in war civilian in peace. Cause freedom ain’t so free when you breathe red, white and blue.
I’m giving all of myself cause that’s what I do and they call me warrior! They call me loyalty! And they call me ready to provide relief and help, I’m wherever you need me to be I’m an American warrior Citizen Soldier.
07/04/2010 at 12:54 am #936718This was always one of my favorite Military songs. I remember my parents having this on cassette tape when I was younger, I have yet to find it on CD though. Great song. God Bless the Troops

not surprising Nam disappeared from the public media/view for years until the blockbuster platoon was made in 86. they did make an attempt to revive it in 78 with boys in company C. went over like a fart in a space suit. it was to close to the end of the war. myself i liked full metal jacket better. it brought back memories of boot camp.
07/04/2010 at 1:43 am #936726You’re welcome KC Vet, and I neglected to say thanks, although I intended to. Thanks for your scarifices for mine and my family’s Freedom. Hope you have a fun and safe 4th of July.
@stricken…YEEHAW! That is one of my favorites too! I was just a kid when that song was a chart hit & radio popular. CLASSIC for sure! Thanks, brought back some good memories, haha.
