So Mike Vick has signed a new contract with the Eagles. This means 2 things for us.

First, any rumors that he was going to be released and we would pick him up, are now gone.

Second, it means that the possibility of Nick Foles coming available is stronger. Granted, Kelly has said that he wants Vick and Foles to compete for the spot (Chip Kelly says Vick and Foles will compete to be the Eagles’ starter), but that could just be posturing to drive up his value.

If Reid were to go after Foles for our 2nd round pick or to swap firsts, I would be ok with that move. I am not sold on Foles, but In Reid I Trust. If he believes in Foles that much, I will trust his opinion, as he probably knows his skill set pretty darn well.

Just saw this on Yahoo. Was wondering if anyone thinks the Chiefs should think about a trade to get Percy? Does anyone think he would help our team? If so, how much should we be willing to trade to get him?

A line that will block for him relentlessly. When we had Will Shield, Willie Roaf, Brian waters, KC Weigman, TRENT GREEN WAS THE MAN.

Apparently there are a lot of tackles that will possibly hit the free agent market. Also, this is a pretty deep draft class for tackles apparently.

Clearly this will affect what we offer Albert and what our draft plans are.

This guy was a HUGE recruit landing for Vanderbilt a few years ago. His high profile court case was discussed extensively on Oprah and other TV shows around the country for basically being imprisoned for having consensual sex with a minor. This kid is/was highly talented and very smart. I’m glad to see he’s still in the league after just a few seasons. Perhaps he can turn himself into a reliable contributor. He should have plenty of opportunity considering we’ll probably be losing Dorsey and Jackson.
