I really wanted the Jet’s to win…pffffft! They looked good the first half! That one pass to Edwards for an 80 yd TD was fricken AWESOME!!
I went outside at half time to rinse the muck off my truck, took longer than I thought getting it out from underneath the frame & fenders…was beginning 4Q when I came back inside…fricken Colts ahead! UGH!!!
Looks like the Colts are the AFC Champs…AGAIN!! How boring.
01/25/2010 at 12:06 am #921505I hate the Colts, they will probably lose in the superbowl though.
01/25/2010 at 3:49 am #921514I’m just tired of hearing about the Colts and Manning!! It’s all season long, and has been it seems like forever!
I’m not fond of the Colt’s either.
01/25/2010 at 3:52 am #921516The only reason I dont get annoyed by the colts and peyton manning is because a friend of mine supports them.
01/25/2010 at 2:25 pm #921567Yea~ i was pulling for the Jets!!!!
Great Minn~NO game though!01/25/2010 at 9:23 pm #921612AussieChiefsFan;177146 wrote:The only reason I dont get annoyed by the colts and peyton manning is because a friend of mine supports them.I do that too…root for a friends team when I can’t root for my Chiefs. They do the same for me too when they can. That’s what friends should do!
01/25/2010 at 10:30 pm #921617I was disappointed, as well, that the Jets lost. I was equally disappointed that the Vikes lost.
Oh well; what’s one to do?

Hope for the Chiefs in 2010. :bananen_smilies046:
01/26/2010 at 4:40 am #921650There ya go! Hope for the Chiefs in 2010! YEEHAW!
I’m gonna root for the Saint’s…since Hank Stram coached the Saint’s after leaving KC, and because a former Chief, Scott Fujita is a Saint now too. As well, because they’ve never been to a Super Bowl in their franchise history!
I wonder if Archie Manning feels any split loyalties? He was the QB for the Saints most of, if not all of his career, resides in, and raised his family in LA…and here there are…his beloved Saint’s team finally in a SB! Going up against his son & the Colts no less! Of course his loyalties would lie with his son, but still…gotta wonder if a part of his heart feels disloyal to his Saints while rooting for the Colts & his son to beat them!

Here’s the answer to that question

01/26/2010 at 5:17 am #921659Wow! You’re on top of it aren’t ya? hahahaha
Well, I’m a parent, and love my kids more than life itself! Still, I would feel a bit of a twinge in my heart if I were in Archie’s place, although yes, ultimately my loyalties would be for my son.
I disagree, “arguably” with the one comment in that article a whole bunch!!! This one below highlighted in red…what the hell? At any position? I don’t even agree that he’s the greatest QB in the history of the NFL, nor do I think he will be prior to his retiring someday. Don’t get me wrong, he’s very good…but he’s not the greatest in my book!
“And while Peyton arguably is (or soon will be)
the greatest player in NFL history at any position, Archie was mediocre, at best. He never appeared in the postseason, and he had a career passer rating of 67.1, with 125 touchdowns passes and 173 interceptions.”01/26/2010 at 5:22 am #921660Many also disagree that Archie was “mediocre”. I’ve heard several opinions over the years state that he was much better than his career stats show…that his team was never good enough to support his efforts or talent.
I read an article once stating that Archie could’ve went to another team and likely taken that team to a Super Bowl, but his loyalties were to the Saints, and he chose not to leave the team, regardless of their potential to be a Super Bowl contender or not.
01/26/2010 at 5:33 am #921663I think Archie was pretty good for the most part, better than some QB’s that play today, or even his time. I’ve always wondered how it would be for him if Eli and Peyton played each other in the Super Bowl one day.

The Manning family issued a public statement both prior to the draft and after…saying that under no circumstances would Eli sign with the AFC, or Chargers…he was to go to the NFC. I thought to myself…why? What’s the big deal whether he play in the NFC or AFC…didn’t take long for that a light bulb of suspicion to go off in my head, LOL. I can be skeptical sometimes of what appears to be seen on the surface, hahaha.
Can you even begin to imagine the money the NFL, the Manning brothers themselves will make with endorsements…rivaling each other in a Super Bowl?
I will always believe it was not coincidental one Peyton is AFC and one NFC…not for the Mannings or the NFL.
